Why Advertise at the Union?

Being the community center of campus, the A. Ray Olpin Union Building receives over 4 million visitors a year. The building hosts many student and community events.

The A. Ray Olpin Union Building houses resource centers and offices for major student organizations such as the Associated Students of the University of Utah, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and the Union Programming Council, attracting thousands of students to the building.

Display Monitors
Digital ads are displayed on 18 monitors throughout the Union in a 5-10 minute loop. Each ad can run for up to 30 seconds total, which is divided into 10-second time increments (unless it is a 30-second video/animation).
Patio Banners
A promotional banner will be installed in the back courtyard area, an active, high-traffic space frequented by students and campus visitors. This placement offers strong visibility for campus advertising.
Floor Stickers
Floor stickers will be printed and installed in the Union Food Court, providing high-visibility advertising in a heavily trafficked dining area.
Union Table Tents
Fifty double-sided cards will be placed in sign holders on tables throughout the Union Food Court. This option offers direct visibility to students and guests during peak dining hours.
Gardner Commons Table Tents
Twenty-five double-sided cards will be placed in sign holders throughout the Gardner Commons food court area. This advertising placement ensures targeted visibility in a busy academic and dining environment.
Indoor Signs
A 24" x 36" double-sided poster will be installed in an interior sign holder located in a prominent, high-traffic area of the building to provide maximum exposure to daily foot traffic.
Outdoor A-Frames
A 24" x 36" sign will be placed in an a-frame stand in a high-traffic outdoor area near the building, offering eye-catching visibility to students and campus visitors as they pass by key entry points.
Large Building Banner
The large building banner is installed on the south-facing exterior wall of the building, providing maximum visibility to campus pedestrians. Banners must be reserved for two-week display periods, with four placements available per year (8 weeks total).

Lamppost Banners
Lamppost banners are installed in ten distinct zones across campus, with fourteen lampposts in each zone to ensure broad and effective campus-wide coverage.

Tabling Booth
A table and chairs will be provided in a high-traffic area, along with access to electrical power. Information tables are available free of charge for students, Vendor tables are offered at $25 per day, and solicitation tables are $125 per day. Reservations may be made for any available date and time through Events & Scheduling team at 801-581-7251.
